Generalist Game Programmer

F84 Games is currently looking for Generalist Game Programmers to help implement gameplay systems and features, and to contribute to the long term development of the programming department.


  • Implement gameplay features as described by the game designer while at the same time providing your own input on creating fun gameplay.
  • Work closely with our artists and animators to request required content and resolve any asset pipeline issues.
  • Work closely with our UI/UX designer to implement dynamic and responsive user interfaces.
  • Coordinate with other programmers to divide work efficiently and ensure that code is structured in a consistent and re-usable manner.
  • Assist with internal tool development and forks of open source software.


  • Strong passion for video games
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment and dedication to code quality
  • Strong knowledge of the Unity game engine 
  • Fluent in C#
  • Fluent in Javascript or Typescript
  • Familiarity with common game programming patterns 
  • Experience with integrated development tools such as Visual Studio
  • Experience with GIT or other version control systems


  • Experience with Phaser 3, Pixi.js, three.js, or similar HTML5 frameworks
  • Experience working with npm or other package managers
  • Experience with using and integrating APIs and SDKs
  • Experience with art and animation tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multitask on several time intensive tasks at once
  • Ability to enhance code, features, or other systems beyond assigned tasks.


Floor 84 Studio takes great pride in providing the guidance and experience to usher in a new generation of motivated / talented artists, programmers, developers, etc. F84 is always on the lookout for interns interested in gaining video game design & development industry experience. Internships at F84 are for credit only. This means that our internships are unpaid and students who participate are required to receive academic credit for their participation in the internship program, with a minimum requirement of 16 hours per week. F84 is always accepting applications, however the studio receives many internship applicants, so in order to be considered we recommend applying at least one month but no more than 3 months prior to the beginning of your desired intern semester.
